Where's My Hair by Patti Block     
Where’s My Hair is a touching story about a young girl with cancer
as told through the eyes of her childhood friend. Come along with
these two pals as they travel through the days in this lighthearted
story about a not so lighthearted topic. There will be good days,
bad days, doctor days and even bald days until the day they’ve
been waiting for; the day they can hang out and play again.
Patti Block,  author of Where's My Hair
Patti grew up in Pierz, MN as the youngest of ten children. She remembers always having
someone to play with. Patti has always worked with children. While in high school she worked at
her mother’s daycare center. She moved away for a few years to attend college but eventually
returned back to her home town. She then worked at a school with special needs students as well
as continuing to help her mother. After starting her family Patti obtained a job at the local high
school, again with special needs students. Patti always had the goal of writing a children’s book.
After her sister-in-law was diagnosed with breast cancer, the story just came out. Today she
continues to work and live in Pierz with her husband and children.Patti enjoys camping and
