Pick Me by Alicia Freitas     
Have you ever felt different? That’s how Little Pinkie feels, a
unique pink daisy in a nursery filled with white daises. She
just wants to be like everyone else so someone will pick her.
But time after time people always choose the white daisies.
Then she finds out how special she is when she warms the
hearts of a little boy and his mother. Pick Me is a tender story
with focus on breast cancer awareness and survival.
.....Originally from Alabama, Alicia Freitas lives with her husband David in Largo, Florida.  
Their blended family consists of sons-Scott, Philip and Joseph, daughter- Jordan, and two
beagles-Dixie and Mocha.  Her family was featured in the “How she does it “section of
Redbook Magazine.
.....Alicia has been an Elementary School teacher for 26 years.  She’s currently teaching
Kindergarten at a Catholic School and has held the title of “Teacher of the Year”. She’s had
the dream to write children’s books even before she became a teacher.  
.....The inspiration for her first book “Pick Me” was her grandmother who died, way too soon,
from breast cancer.  Cancer also took her grandfather’s life.  Alicia will use a portion of her
book sales to support the research to help end the disease that affects so many families
like hers!

The ABC's Go to the Beach by Alicia Freitas
Have you ever been to the beach? Pack your beach bag and
join a "special" family as they load the bus for a day trip of
fun in the sun. From making angels in the sand and
building castles to surfing and playing games, the ABC’s
are busy "beach bodies". The day isn’t complete until an
awesome sunset ends their retreat!
Jungle Boogie by Alicia Freitas

your day? Would you just spend it eating or sleeping? Do
